Samba, samba, samba!

Having taken part in a number of samba workshops, Year 4 finally got the opportunity to showcase their hard work in a dance presentation in front of the parents and some fellow students.
In art, they had designed, made and decorated their own carnival masks to represent the coming of spring, which they wore for the dances. In Literacy, they looked at different types of poems including haikus, tankas, cinquains and descriptive poems. They then wrote their own about carnival and presented these at the samba performance.
